According to the Brooklyn Historical Society’s Blog, Brooklyn’s Memorial Day Parade “is the longest continuously-run Memorial Day parade in the United States, and has happened every year since 1867.” I came upon the blog while researching the holiday, and once I saw the picture of that 1895 parade, I realized it would be pretty cool to plug The Doctor into the event.
